Expression of Interest: Join Us to Make Sports More Inclusive
We’re currently recruiting people to help co-design a resource to make sporting groups and clubs more inclusive, especially for people with disabilities and other barriers. Join our co-design working group to make sports in WA a welcoming space for everyone!
Who Can Join?
- People with disabilities
- LGBTQIA+ individuals
- Trans/gender diverse people
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people
What Will You Do?
- Help design training and accreditation for sports clubs in Western Australia.
- Share your experiences with sports clubs, both good and bad.
How to Get Involved:
- Join the Co-Design Working Group (for consumers).
- Participate in Qualitative Interviews (for sports club representatives).
Important Details:
- Your feedback will be confidential and used to improve the final resource.
- Sessions will be held from September to December 2024.
- If joining online, you need a computer with a microphone and camera. Other options may be available.

The project is called the Welcoming Inclusive Network (WIN) and will be ready by 2026, thanks to a grant from the Department of Social Services.
