Disability sports inclusion accreditation, guided by experts

The need to create meaningful and genuine connections between community sports and people with disability and other identities has never been greater. Despite the growing recognition of the need for inclusion, many community sports clubs struggle to know where to start their inclusion journey – or how to promote their efforts effectively.

The Welcoming Inclusive Network (WIN) is designed to bridge that gap. Our mission is to empower community sports clubs by providing practical guidance, resources and face-to-face support to help foster inclusive environments. As a participating sports club, you will be recognised for your commitment to inclusion and diversity through the WIN Tick.

Inclusion framework and resource library

Developed and co-designed by people with disability, our disability inclusion assessment framework offers a comprehensive, step-by-step guide supporting your club to foster an inclusive environment. Combined with a rich library of educational resources, your club will have the necessary skills and tools to make informed decisions, plan initiatives, and implement sustainable, inclusive practices that will benefit current and future members.

WIN Tick – Connecting community sports and people with disability

Clubs participating in the WIN program will undergo an assessment across key areas of inclusion. Successful clubs will be awarded the WIN Tick – a disability sports accreditation highlighting your club’s dedication to disability inclusion and diversity.

Bronze, Silver, or Gold accreditation level: Through our benchmarking process, clubs will be evaluated and recognised on their level of inclusion – Bronze, Silver, or Gold reflecting their progress.

Flexible assessment process: We understand that every club is unique, and progress looks different for everyone. Our assessment process is designed to be flexible, accommodating clubs at various stages of their inclusion journey.

If a club falls short in a specific area, our team will provide guidance and support to help them work toward achieving accreditation or move up to the next accreditation level.

Accreditation is valid for 2 years, after which clubs are invited to renew and continue their journey toward inclusion.
