Applications Open: Included in Sport Advisory Group
We are looking for 12 people to join the Included in Sport Advisory Group to provide feedback on resources and program delivery as part of the Included in Sport project, an initiative supporting local sports clubs to become more inclusive for people with intellectual disability and autism. What is the Included in Sport project?
The Included in Sport project supports sporting clubs across Western Australia to become more inclusive for people with intellectual disability and autism. Through training, coach development and mentoring, clubs are equipped to deliver welcoming and accessible sporting opportunities for everyone.
Included in Sport works with sporting clubs to build their understanding of disability, develop practical inclusion strategies and support the delivery of inclusive programs that make sport more accessible, enjoyable and meaningful for participants.

Who can join?
We are seeking expressions of interest from:
- People with intellectual disability.
- Autistic people.
- Parents, carers and family members of people with intellectual disability or autism.
- Mentors, supporters and advocates.
- Sport representatives interested in improving inclusive practices.
- Club volunteers.
- Coaches, officials, umpires and players with experience in sport.

- Recognition and remuneration – Members are deeply valued for their time and expertise, which includes paid opportunities, reimbursement of expenses, free professional development or other forms of acknowledgement.

Supports may include quieter meeting spaces, flexible attendance options, additional time to review materials, communication supports and one-on-one discussions with the project lead. Each member will complete an induction with the project lead to discuss meeting schedules, communication preferences, remuneration and any support requirements. Your experience and perspective are greatly valued.
