Professional Development Series for the Disability Sector: Trial Free Online Courses

Do you want to help us shape the future of disability education? We’re now seeking feedback on our newly developed online course series! 

We have some exciting news to share! For the past year, we have been working hard behind the scenes to develop a brand-new online course series for the disability sector, the Disability Workforce Toolkit.

All courses in the toolkit are values-based. But more importantly, they’ll also allow you to hear and learn from people with lived experience themselves and professionals in the sector.

Additionally, all our modules are self-paced, short, and engaging with videos, activities, and reflection questions throughout to help create an enriching learning experience.

The courses cover topics such as social inclusion, disability awareness, and the history of disability services, with much more to come in the upcoming weeks and months!

Now, we need disability workers to trial these courses for FREE and provide us with feedback so we can keep improving them and make sure they are relevant to the sector.

Courses NOW LIVE:

• Our Social Inclusion 101 course is a gateway to understanding and embracing inclusivity! Dive into essential theories and frameworks, exploring topics like common definitions of social inclusion, its benefits, and ways to support the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in our society.

There are 3 lessons within this course, and it will take a total of 1 hour to complete them.

• Our Disability Awareness course takes you on a transformative journey into understanding and embracing diversity! Delve into the fundamentals of disability, exploring terminology, statistics, and personal experiences from people with disability themselves.

This course will take you around 30 minutes to complete. 

• Our History of Disability Services course takes you on a journey through time to uncover the evolution of support systems in Australia with a focus on Western Australia! Delve into the concept of Service Land and its lasting impact on individuals with disabilities.

This course will take you around 30 minutes to complete.
